I love super hero movies. They have become their own genre. You have the chick flick, the comedy, the drama, the action movie, and then the super hero movie.
The Dark Knight came out on DVD on Tuesday. It is one of the best super hero movies of all time. Last week The Punisher came out in theaters. It is the worst super hero movie of all time.
That got me thinking. In your opinion what are the best and worst super hero movies of all time? Even if you don't like super heroes you should participate in this informal survey.
best is obviously The Dark Knight (honorable mention to X-Men 2)
ReplyDeletebut worst being the most recent Punisher movie? i'm sorry... but you must have been lucky to miss out on the atrocity that was Ghost Rider. Nicholas Cage is a horrible actor, and that movie was absolute dirt. Punisher was at least remotely accurate to what a Punisher movie should be like (basic plot, excessive violence, etc)
fantastic four 1 & 2 are way down there on the list.... but they had the bare minimum enjoyable moments to escape the title of "worst comic book movie"
Dark Knight is the best... and I was having a hard time thinking of the worst, but Jake has a point with Ghost Rider, it is horrible.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I actually like Nicholas Cage and I don't feel Ghost Rider sucking is his fault. It's a lame story. Good movies of Nick Cage: The Rock, Matchstick Men, City of Angels... he has others, those are just 3 off the top of my head. He has bad ones, but who doesn't?
true.. i guess it's just been awhile since i've liked any of his movies, and Ghost Rider pushed the good memories even further down the drain. i'll eventually forgive him for being miscast in that movie... someday
