God doesn't love you Part One

God doesn't love me because I'm a pastor. He doesn't love a person more if they go to church or read their Bible. God doesn't love us any more if we do things for Him. God doesn't love you because of anything you do.

God loves us like a good parent loves their kids. Whether we succeed or fail God's love doesn't change. I think some people think that if they just do something for God He will love them more. Sure following God has it's rewards. Obeying God protects us from the consequences of poor choices, but it doesn't make God love us more.

So why go to church or read your Bible? Why should we do anything for God if it doesn't change the degree to which He loves us? I believe that serving, loving, and getting to know God has little to do with God and a lot to do with us. You see loving God doesn't change God's perspective of us it changes our perspective of Him.

Leaving a good comment = God's blessing on your children's children.

Leaving a bad comment = a curse that will cause all of your children to be born bald and naked.
