So the votes are in and the majority of robshep.com readers wanted a contest instead of a guest blog from a WEC staff member. Here is your contest...
I once posted a blog titled "Why I Don't Like Pets". What is the 6th reason I listed on that blog? Question: You know when a radio station does a contest they make it so the 9th or 10th caller wins? Well, we are going to do this radio style and allow the 10th comment to win. Here's the catch...you can only comment a total of two times.
The winner will receive Mark Batterson's new book "Wild Goose Chase".
#6: Animals die.
ReplyDeleteinteresting.
ReplyDelete6. Animals die. I once had a fish named Hulk Hogan. One day he floated to the top of my bubble gum fish tank (it looked like a bubble gum machine...it was awesome!). I cried that night pretty hard. Hulk Hogan was my hammerhead gold fish and I loved him with all my might for the 4 1/2 weeks he lived. I'm not good with goodbyes, so I don't like it when pets die.
ReplyDelete#6 animals die.
ReplyDelete-eric-
animals die...seems like a popular guess, but don't people too?
ReplyDelete# 6 it's difficult thinking up a name for the pet
ReplyDeleteI'll take one for the team to help get it to #10... I really don't want Mark Batterson's book. I didn't care for In A Pit all that much... used unnecessarily complex words to convey relatively simple points over and over... sorry for all you who love that book. If you read this Mark, you should ask your editors to shoot straight with you, unless of course you edit your own book... in which case watch for repeat sentences and phrases.
ReplyDeleteHave you worked out shipping costs to Australia???

ReplyDelete:)and we liked his book...maybe a little too much
ReplyDeleteOK time to tweak the rules Rob
ReplyDelete1) No anon comments - I was sorely tempted to do a few diff anon comments to just get thru to # 9 then pounce! Especially easy to do while all you guys are sleeping in US & I'm working hard. I resisted & didn't win - ah goodness is its own reward!?!?! But you are leading us into temptation here! And I'd still be tempted just to hear your comments after discovering how much it costs to ship a book to Australia!
2) No comments in a row - Heather shouldn't be able to sleep at nite!! Unconscionable behaviour!!
3) Ask questions only Australians can get right
Ok that should do it - much fairer ... for Australians anyway.
John, I will see what I can do for the next contest.
