Easter with Waters Edge

Easter with Waters Edge was an amazing experience. We celebrated at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. We kicked off our brand new series entitled Illusions. Between the two services 4,015 people attended. The most amazing part for me was seeing 337 people stand to their feet and ask Jesus to be their Savior. It was truly a remarkable experience. Enjoy some pics of the service...

Pictured Above: I got to host the pre-show.
The pre-show started 30 minutes before the service.
It's a way for us to help motivate people to get to church a little early.
It was sponsored by Chick Fil-A and they gave us a ton of free coupons to give out.

In my opinion it was sick nasty! And that's a good thing.

Pictured Above: Lead Pastor Stu Hodges and his family during the welcome.

Pictured Above: As always...worship was amazing!

Pictured Above: Stu during his presentation.
His talk was about the illusions people have when it comes to getting to God.
This was the stairway to heaven.
Pictured Above: At the end of his talk, Stu shared that the
reason the stairway to God is an illusion is because God came
to us through his son Jesus. The cross is proof that we don't have to
make our way to God.

  2. Me and my little one enjoyed the service yesterday. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a breeze as well. I appreciate all of the effort of the WEC staff who put this all together. Your hard work really paid off!

  6. Yep, to echo all the other comments, y'all did an amazing job in preparation and execution, and God used it in a great way. I'm sure there were plenty of really long days (and nights) getting ready for it all, but the results were great!

  8. Everything was amazingly awesome!! Pre Show, Music, Message, just everything. But, the best part for me was when I went to say Happy Easter to Lleyton Dunsmore (4 yrs. old)after he got out of Wee World and he looked me in the eyes and asked, "Did you know that Jesus died for us"? Whoever taught that class did a great job!!
Rob, thanks for all that you and Monica do!

Leaving a good comment = God's blessing on your children's children.

Leaving a bad comment = a curse that will cause all of your children to be born bald and naked.
