The Unpardonable Sin

Most things are forgivable, but this was not only inexcusable it was unforgivable.

A little while ago my in-laws came over from VA Beach to hang out with us. When they walked in they told an awful story. What you are about to read is unacceptable, unfathomable, and should be illegal in all 50 states (and most major countries).

My in-laws drove to Burger King and tried to order a Whopper combo meal. The person that spoke to them through the little drive-thru box said they were out of Whoppers. But wait there's more! Not only was Burger King out of the Whopper they had no beef. Are you KIDDING me!

It would be forgivable if McDonald's, or Wendy's ran out of beef. Neither of those have the words Burger in their name and neither of them claim to be the King of Burgers. Now to make matters worse the person working the drive through said, "all we have is chicken." They went to Burger King and the only thing they could buy was chicken. Something is wrong with that. Something should be done. Someone should be fired. That my friends is an unpardonable sin.

  1. This reminds me of the time that I worked at Pizza Hut. One night the Dominos Pizza outlet across the street called and said that they were out of cheese and if they could borrow some. Huh? A major pizza place that doesn't have cheese?? As they were the competition, I told them to get bent and geared up for the increased business. It never came, which makes me wonder what the Dominos people put on their pizzas that night. Hmmm.

  3. Sounds like the time my husband and I went to KFC (Kentucky Fried CHICKEN) and we were told they had run out of chicken! And they had no substitutes!

  4. Unexcusable! I had a similar reaction once to Red Lobster running out of baked potatoes. Somebody is asleep at the switch, but BK out of burgers--Deplorable!

  5. We met my mother in law and nephews at the Burger King at Kiln Creek recently and they were completely out of beef too! Weird, huh? We all ended up eating chicken, but if we would not have had 5 kids who wanted to play in the playground, we would have left! Ridiculous!

  7. agreed...inexcusable

I has a similar experience to "spursfan"'s comment. I too went to KFC one time and was told they were out of CHICKEN. REALLY?

you have to be careful about what you put in a name, because WE WILL hold those in charge accountable!

Leaving a good comment = God's blessing on your children's children.

Leaving a bad comment = a curse that will cause all of your children to be born bald and naked.
