  2. Just the opposite....read the book, have not seen the movie. The book was ok. Would not give it the hype that it has gotten but for the age group it is targeted at, it fulfills a lot of needs. The sexy bad boy, live forever, cheating death...what every teen ager dreams of. or maybe that was just me at that age when I read Anne Rice. Don't think the author of Twilight is that great of a storyteller, but to each their own. May get the movie at Redbox one day, no hurry.

  3. uh... did brian just say he dreamed about sexy bad boys when he was a teenager?

anyway, i have neither read the book or seen the movie. i really have no desire to, so i can't say whether it's cool or uncool.

but i don't dream of sexy bad boys, if that makes any difference.

  4. He's your brother Jake. Ha. Anyway, I've seen the movie, have not read the books... It was a decent movie, not amazing... it is an interesting concept for a movie, I liked the concept better than the actual movie.

  5. Two Questions:

First Question: How come dudes are the only one to answer this question?

Second Question: How come no one has answered cool or uncool?

Jake you get points for at least mentioning cool or uncool.

Brian you should respond to Jake's comment. It was pretty funny.

  8. TOTALLY COOL!!!!! I read all of the books and loved them - couldn't lay them down. The movie was good but not as good as the books. I think to enjoy the movie, you definitely need to read the book first. Even though I liked the books better, I had to have my own copy of the movie as soon as it came out. I loved Harry Potter too but there is just something about Twilight.........COOL!

  11. Ok, so I have read all 4 books. Sort of cool, I do not think Stephanie Meyer is all that great of a writer. I also think that Edward is more of a stalker than a romantic perfect boyfriend. The books kind of teach kids that having a boyfriend/girlfriend is all life is about. Kind of teaches codependency if you ask me. But I liked the 1st book the best. I felt like they got kind of hokey as they went on. I will say that I did want to know what happened but was kind of sad I wasted all my time finishing the series. I am torn about it being cool or uncool.... So I say sort of cool.

The movie.... I made the mistake of seeing it at the theatre on opening weekend. Ugh.... teenagers screamed and squealed through the whole thing, very obnoxious. So it was hard to enjoy at the theatre. We recently rented it on the redbox and I liked it much better at home without the squealers! HAHA! So I would say... again... Sort of cool.

Also...Twilight is nothing compared to Harry Potter books and movies!

  13. Dude, wife of mine, that was a really long comment. Jake Miller, you are hilarious, Brian Miller, I feel like I remember us having this conversation in my office several months ago. I'm gonna go with uncool, but moderately enjoyable - definitely much better as a home rental than a screaming fans movie experience. Although the screaming teenage girls were also pretty hilarious - and I agree with Bethany that the books or just ok for me dog. As a fiction fan, I give them a 4 out of 10 for the whole series, book 1 closer to a 6 by itself. Ok, this was a long comment too.
