    Every fiber of my being wants to answer uncool, but I suspect that this is, perhaps, just my personal hair-challenged personal bias, nay hatred, against those with hair. The man-tail is just flaunting their hair growing abilities in my face, making me face my shame. Am I not a man? If you prick me, do I not bleed? If you hurt me, do I not cry? Ahh, cry perchance to dream .... What was the question again?

    in theory, cool. in reality, uncool. once dated a guy with a curly head of hair that he kept at bay with a ponytail. it was cute until he took it down. then, YIKES. plus, have you noticed that most men with ponytails don't look like they WASH their hair? ickers.

    Requirements for a pony tail to be cool:
    -you don't own a fanny pack or elastic pants.
    -you can take your shirt off and defend your ponytail with your 6-pack
    -you are under the age of 40

    It's one of those areas where it depends on the person. I lean towards uncool, but then I've looked at some guys who have a good sense of style and pull it off without looking bad. Besides, there was a day and age where having a ponytail was not only cool, but common.

    Nearly all of the founding fathers had one or a wig with one and frankly, those looked dignified.

    We do live in a different day and age and the style has changed, but I still think there's a way to make it look cool.
