ReplyDeleteHopefully we are NOT talking about the Daisy Duke style. Please no, for the love of Pete. Other than that, some guys can pull this off without anyone even questioning their manliness. I guess that it is O.K. then if guys were cutoffs.

ReplyDeleteyeah i dont is why not. Guys wear jean shorts all the time. if it goes down to your knees it is fine. But if not, thats not cool. Final jugdement is COOL
ReplyDeleteAnonymous jean short wearer, you don't have to feel judged. If you've been a longtime reader of robshep.com you'll know that all kinds of cool / uncool surveys are thrown out. As in this issue, people often fall on both sides of the fence. Think of it as a social service, I mean let's be honest as humans we all judge and are judged. You might think, "not me" but I'd be willing to bet when you wrote the final statement you considered the above people to be judgemental and so judged yourself. At least if you know something is generally considered "uncool", at least you know and could change if desired.
ReplyDeleteAll that said, I agree with your statement pretty much exactly. I rocked a pair of "jorts" as my wife put it until about 6 months ago when I finally gave in to her complaints and tossed 'em. The cost of being happily married. If your jorts are too short though it's obvious you're playing the tamberine. Not that I have a problem with people who play the tamberine, I don't play though.
Finally, no one here likely judges you as a person based on your short wearing. Otherwise cool people do, say and wear uncool things all the time. I say the same to all anonymous posts, grow a pair in your jorts and give us a name or at least a handle... There's no shame... they're conditionally cool.
I hadn't pondered that. I think o.k. if they are long enough (but that goes for any shorts, jeans or no). Style would matter, too, and the "adult" wearing them. If they are cool enough to pull it off, I guess it would be o.k.. Thanks for giving me something else to worry about my husband wearing.
