So the WEC staff got killed at Corn Hole vs. Mark Batterson and the NCC staff. We were down two team members. Meredith May was out sick...you can read about that here. Brian Miller had to go home to take care of his son Cole. Cole is really sick. You can read about that here. When you do please pray for Cole!
Mark Batterson blogged about the Corn Hole shellacking (no I did not misspell that word...it means we got beat down! Here is the definition: 1. shel·lacked also shel·lacked, shel·lack·ing also shel·lack·ing, shel·lacs also shel·lacks Slang
a. To strike repeatedly and severely; batter.
b. To defeat decisively.) here.

We lost really bad. We played the best out of 7 and we lost in 4 straight. If add up all the points we scored in the 4 games it would not be enough to win one game...how sad is that? It was a fun day though. Thank you Mark and the staff of NCC for hosting us!
Here are some pics of the event.
I am curious to know what you guys learned from Mark and his gang that could be applied at WEC. Sorry about the beat down. I guess none of WEC'ers can ever show our faces in DC again. There go my dreams of running for senate. Thanks alot.
ReplyDeleteFirst, did Mark Batterson throw overhand? From the first picture it appears that way. Second, you should have brough Kuchera as a ringer. You and Kuchera, I think, might have stood a chance.
ReplyDeleteToo bad Brian wasn't there, he would have been a good addition.
You won BIG!What an awesome adventure!
ReplyDeletethat was my worship director (love bite) four teams... line each team up from strongest to least strong and give them a number 1 being strongest then all the way down (for reasons later named)... each team has their own number one, two, three, etc.... place all tubes in the middle of the field.... begin calling numbers... players run out when their number is called.... teams compete against each other pulling tubes back to their team's side... different points for different sized tubes... you can also call all girls out there or all guys or just leaders... each round lasts until all tubes are gone then tubes are put out there again and a new round is started.
ReplyDeleteWell you can not win them all! I am glad you guys had the time to hang out together, you were together for A LONG TIME that day! And I am sure you guys learned some valuable stuff from meeting with fresh minds! I am glad you took pictures too!
