5 Friends Every Woman Needs

So I saw a news blurb about the 5 Friends Every Woman Needs. Since I'm not a woman I don't know why I watched it, but it peeked my interest. They are...
  1. The Cheerleader
  2. The Advice Giver
  3. The Childhood Friend
  4. The Guy Friend
  5. The Honest Friend

Now I don't know why there wasn't a similar list for guys but it has me wondering, what type of friends do guys need? Any thoughts?

  1. I used to watch Ally McBeal and one of the male characters had a female friend he referred to as a stroker. Now before you get all XXX or R or even PG-13 on me, this person was called forth when the male character needed an ego boost (i.e. his ego stroked). She was invaluable on many occasions. She would say things like, "You are strong", "You are verile", "You smell like pudding cups". Of course I made the last one up, but you get the idea.

  2. That's an interesting list. I think I agree with it, just a little cautious about the "guy friend" part. I don't really have any close guy friends that aren't friends with me AND Billy, cuz I think it would probably be weird for him, and same for me if he had a close "girl friend".

  3. I have a 2, 3, 4, and 5 friend, (I think) but I can't think of who my cheerleader would be for girls. I have my Rob though & he's the best cheerleader for me. Plus he's my guy friend....and all my others. I like that list. I agree with AL. A married man doesn't need a girl friend, except for the wife. :)

  4. Glad to read that you are only reporting these. I was totally wondering how a guy knew the 5 friends every WOMAN needed. Guessed that maybe Monica told you.
